BibleTales Christmas First: Zechariah tells the moving story of a faithful old priest whose ordinary day in the temple became the beginning of an extraordinary promise.

For years, Zechariah and Elizabeth had prayed for a child. Now, with both of them growing old, that hope seemed beyond reach. But as Zechariah offered incense in the Holy Place, the angel Gabriel appeared with astonishing news: their prayers had been heard. A son would be born to them, and he would prepare the way for the Lord. Through wonder, doubt, and a season of silence, Zechariah began to learn that God’s promises are greater than what our eyes can see.

Told in gentle, poetic language and framed by the warm voice of a grandmother reading to her grandchildren, this richly illustrated book brings the world of the Jerusalem temple close to young hearts. Scripture, history, and devotion come together in a story made for family reading, bedtime conversations, classrooms, and churches.

The opening book of the Christmas First series, Zechariah invites readers to discover that quiet faithfulness is never forgotten, waiting is never beyond God’s care, and even the deepest silence can hold the beginning of hope.
